Just tried out the Cool Down Mode Tazer function, (toggles rad fan to full speed).
It works perfectly when ignition in "Run" position, (engine off), but doesn't work at all with engine running....?

Has anyone seen this issue?
Thanks!

What you need is the
RpmExtreme Jeep JL PWM FAN CONTROLLER

http://www.rpmextreme.com/Product/311/Jeep-JL-PWM-FAN-CONTROLLER.aspx

I have this on my 2020 Willys 3.6 and have seen a 25 to 30 degree lower temps on both my coolant and oil temps
You can also order it with a fan high speed bypass

NORMAL CANBUS OPERATION:

When the engine is running the PWM fan will run at a low Idle speed (15%).

When the module reads the engine temp it will command the fan to the desired %.

Fahrenheit

199 degrees = 30%

205 degrees = 50%

212 degrees = 75%

218+ degrees = 100%

This is a game changer
The hottest I have seen on a very very long hill was 212
On the Rubicon trail a few months back it never got over 201 and mostly staid at 190 to 195
Before the JL PWM FAN CONTROLLER I was seeing temps as high as 235

I'm currently working with Jon at RPMExtreme to determine if it's compatible with the etorque 3.6.
Fingers crossed! ?

I recognize you now
Maybe some one else will see the post and benefit from the fan controller
Thanks

That function on the Tazer works fine for me. I have it programmed to live buttons.

If you show the off road pages then it seems cool down mode overrides the transmission temperature to force the fans on. This must take some time depending on other engine parameters.

Just installed my Tazer yesterday. Wanted to get the RPM but never heard back from them after 3 emails. One thing I don't like about the RPM is the thresholds seem to be set too high (for AZ I would prefer a slightly more aggressive tune). I have a Tundra and from what I can see, most people's see oil temps between 182- 192 (spikes of 199)(the thermostat opens earlier I believe) and mechanical fan that runs all the time.

https://www.tundras.com/threads/normal-engine-operating-temperature.124719/

Why is that Jeep doesn't turn the fans on until 224+ F? And why is RPM setting temp threshold so high? If my Tundra is keeping a constant temp 190 +/- 5 degrees shouldn't that be where my Jeep sits for normal driving?

The reason I ask, is now that I have control of the fan, I can activate it at any time and target any range I wish. I did that last night experimenting, and can "force" the temps down to 188-192 with the ambient temps I had last night. The only thing is I may ask for some firmware updates to do what RPM does except at user defined temp values.

What do you all think?

I would assume Jon can program the module to what ever you want
You can ask if it is possible to exchange the one you have for a custom program
I was just happy to find someone that has salved this issue
Like I said. Last summer pulling the hills on the way to Lake Tahoe temps topped out at 212 and that was when the fan hit 75% fan speed. So far pulling hills around here 200 is as high as it goes
This summer I will know more when it get 100+ degrees around here
