After enjoying my 2009 Wrangler 2 door for 13 years, I've finally upgraded to a 2022 JLUR. And, once again, I'm In the process of looking for upgrades and accessories. This time around, I'm wondering why do so many companies make great products and ruin them by adding huge logos on them? To me, it ruins an otherwise great product and I can't understand why (after paying full price) I would want to be a rolling advertisement. Sorry for the rant, I'll get off my soapbox.. Just wondering if others felt the same.

100%. There are many products that I've considered but will either pass on or will try to debadge if I go with them. Quadratec being a huge offender - I don't need a massive oval sticker showing where I got my door sill guards from, and if I get their lightbar like I plan to, I will definitely be removing the logo.

I agree. Offer a discount if someone is willing to advertise for you. Otherwise, I don’t want your damn logos everywhere.

Do they realize the big fugly logos cost them business? After returning the hard slick mopar floor mats , I found 3 pliable deep tread brands. Quadratec and Bestop that appear identical except for either a big fugly green or yellow oval logo in the middle, and Rugged Ridge with a barely noticeable small black logo to the side and I’m very happy with them.

At least a sticker can be peeled off. Many of the bumper and inner fender companies have massive lazer cut logos. No way will I buy that stuff and some of those parts I really like. But some people love logos and labels. Unless they pay me money or sponsor me with free parts, no for me.

Funny, many peoples Wranglers are a Poster Child for Tacky. Every kind of Blingy Add-on that can be bought, is slapped on them. But yes, some advertisers have huge logos, and this is so that the Mall Crawler next to you, at the stop light, can see who makes that product. Advertisement sells.
I'm all for debadging a lot of stuff.

This is so true about branding and logos!. If my vehicle didn’t say Jeep Wrangler on it, people probably wouldn’t know what it was! ?

But seriously, you’re right, the branding can get a little overboard on some products. But since private label products carry the highest margins for most retailers, it is something that consumers have and will have to live with in perpetuity. And true, it’s not always easy to remove or hide a logo.

i personally don’t mind the “brand name” on the product as long as it is a quality product that does what it is supposed to do. My front floor mats say “Quadratec” on them, sure, but they are great floor mats and really, I don’t care about a logo I can’t see while riding in the vehicle anyway (it is under my feet after all). ?

Fishbone Offroad makes a product I would love to have. But I won't buy it for just this reason.
I second it with poison spider.

My first thought on reading the title was the naked lady silhouette mud flaps (which I honestly kinda liked). To my surprise, now they don't have to be ladies...

I don't mind subtle logos. But if a product is plastered on every side and corner I hate that. Sometimes I think a logo looks cool, and will get a pass. Im into knives and firearms as well as jeeps and the other industries I mentioned are notorious for over badging! I can't stand the gaudy lettering on a cold steel knife but I love the sterile look on a CRK! I love some makers logo such as micrtotech, chaves, Hinderer.

I'm still trying to debadge my wheels. The dirty life logo looks plasticy and cheap. But to remove it, you have to apparently remove the entire wheel soooo.... and bc the lettering is raised, I can't just cover it up. Suggestions welcome but I have no interest on riding around with 'dirty life" all over my jeep. Logos make sense, but shld be removable imo. By far the most worthless badge on a jeep is the "unlimited" decal. It's so unnecessary and the first thing I remove.

I purchased a nice set of floor matts for my JK (which I no longer have) from AEV. The had a buffalo emblem molded into the Matt that was neat. You had to look close to see it , very subdued. I liked that approach. Unfortunately they don't fit my 20 jlr so they set in the garage along with a bunch of JLR take of front suspension parts and the factory batteries replaced with the Genesis system. All looking for a home (free). You pu.

@2nd 392

I had Bestop give me 2 sets of their front floor liners for my 2dr. Rubi JL.

Yes, they have the "fugly" oval logo on them which turned me off to them.. Remove the logos and you end up with 2 holes in each liner.

Weathertech, Rugged Ridge and the others have "fugly" logos on them to. You can peel off the WeatherTech logo but it leaves an obvious, open space rectangle on the liners..

Anyway, really pisses you off this logo thing..

In regard to the Bestop liners that I was given. As mentioned they are terrific liners.. decent coverage, best foot to liner feel, do not scuff easy and easy to clean... I was a long time Weathertech liner user but they are not as appealing to me as the Bestop liner.

Well, I had quality stickers cut to cover the "fugly" logos on them. You would not even know the logo was under then stickers. The stickers look lets say factory and very durable...
