Hello, ‘21 JLUD Sport S with a 2” Spacer and JLURD springs here. I bought the Rock Krawler Gen II adjustable sway bar disconnects that say they’re good for 2.5” - 5.0” of lift. I have about 2.75” of lift as measured from before the lift to now. I’ve attached a photo of the angle of the sway bar - is this safe? I know it’s a higher angle than normal, but is there any possible problem presented with it? They’re adjusted as short as they can go. If this is problematic, is there anything else I can do / recommended in place of these?

That does not look right. The sway bar links should be slightly higher than parallel. Manufacturers base their recommendations off of the Rubicon. So, you said you got 2.75 lift total? I think the Rubicon is a little more than an inch taller plus another 2.5 inches from RK. So, I think you would have to have at least 3.5 inches of total lift to run those.

Aren’t those RK links over 10 inches? The mopar ones that come with their 2 inch lift kit are 7.5 I believe.

As for issues, maybe interference/articulation issues? But I think you need to address this quickly.

The sway bar doesn't necessarily have to be slightly higher than horizontal. You just need to confirm that the sway bar still has room to rotate upwards until you hit your bump stops. In the other direction, confirm that the sway bar and link are not fully extended when your shocks are fully extended. If the sway bar & link gets too extended it could invert and bend in the opposite direction.

My 23 Wrangler Rubi 2 Dr. Swaybar was originally horizontal with the factory droplinks. Now, the swaybar is tilt up some and there hasn't been any problems with the Metalcloak droplinks. Just make sure that you adjust the preload on level ground.

Many lift manufacturers recommend the sway bar be "angled up" like that to prevent the sway bar from flipping during heavy articulation. It's fine.

Nothing wrong as long as they don’t hit when your suspension is fully compressed and as long as they don’t invert when fully extended.

Thanks, y’all. Here’s the final product with angle measurements. I’ll try to get it articulated to make sure it doesn’t hit anything.

My swaybar angle on my 23 Wrangler Rubi 2 Dr with Metalcloak Adjustable Droplinks and my lift is a tad under 4 inches.

That is what is most important. You have to test it out. I have never heard of any manufacturer recommend over 10 degrees. In fact, many of them don’t recommend more than 5. I think if you don’t have issues, then you will probably be ok. I would reach out to RK to verify though.

In a perfect world, the swaybar arm angle is supposed to be horizontal with the ground. If that can't happen, the critical factor is the freedom of movement and the full range of motion.
