Definitely this. While I don't think I've ever let my Jeep idle too long after a remote start, even after several minutes it's still just blowing out cold/cool air at max velocity. Think the longest I've waited was maybe 5 or 10 minutes, and the cabin felt as cold as if I just got in and started it up myself. The use of the remote start super defroster is of minimal use because if you use remote start is because the jeep is cold and a cold engine do not produce heat for the blowers therefore waste of energy most of the time. Heated seats is a other story IMO
I still use it year-round, but mostly on days that I don't feel like waiting a minute or two for all the fluids to get moving and warmed up just a bit (probably not necessary, but just habit). Also, it's nice for a change of pace to start the vehicle without pushing the damn brake pedal in, though it seems unnecessary that we still have to push the ignition button. And it's also a good random test of my keyfob's battery, since I never actually use it for anything else with the super-convenient proximity door lock/unlock.
