Sunshade question

Outside of looks/personal preference, is a sunshade a sunshade a sunshade specific to UV protection? I bought one shortly after buying my JLU but was mostly motivated by cost vs really doing any research. Thanks in advance for your input.

I dont think a mesh sunshade is going to block 100% of UV but you may have to check with the manufacturer of your shade to see if they have a spec of what % it does block. Either way its probably much better than nothing

I've seen varying degrees of UV blockage from different vendors. I just installed a ShadeIdea 2-pc and am happy with it. It's advertised at 90% blockage.
