This. Can't speak to the 392s but my '19 JLUR came off the lot with serious play. I was fortunate to have the aluminum steering box replaced with the steel one. Added the longer Mopar LCAs and that really dialed it in.
Also, while some might say the fuse trick w/the steering is voodoo, I...
Appreciate your input. Between replacing the "slop" from upgradin and getting the extended Mopar LCA (an upgrade EVERY no lifted Jeep should have IMHO) I'm not trying to mess with what I have finally attained.
Thx and appreciate your input. Between the time I spent with the factory steering...
I've got standard lift Rubi w/upgd Fox shocks AND the Mopar extended LCA. I've been thinking about a mild spacer to level it out. My question is does adding a spacer negate the positive effects of the longer LCA? After getting the old steering box replaced years ago and the long LCA, I love...
I have Fifteen 52 Analog wheels that are: 17x8.5x17 w/4.75 backspace. Would the Nitto 35x11.5s rub even more since they stick out a bit more? When I went from OEM JLUR rims to these they do stick-out about 1" from the fender.
I have a JLU Rubi and I've been thinking of putting a level kit in the front to remove "the rake". A couple of questions:
1) How much is typically needed (non-steel bumper, no winch, etc.)?
2) Will a .5" - 1" affect the caster? I added the Mopar LCAs with that are 1/4" longer and love the way...
Curious (as I always expect the worst from the dealership), if the batteries are bad, is this covered under warranty? I've got '19 w/ ~ 13K miles.
I've been out of town for about a week and did notice a new message re the auto start/stop. Indicated it was not available as it's charging...
Older thread but did you ever determine the issue? I'm taking my '19 JLUR in next week. Doesn't start on the first attemp....lights galore but then starts on the second (sometime with security light staying on).
I think a lot of it comes down to what you're wanting to put in the center console w/the Tuffy. I have the Tuffy with my 19 JLU Rubicon and I can put my Springfield Hellcat (w/optic while keeping in the Crossbreed holster) or my Glock 17. Definitely peace of mind when needing to securely stow...
To the OP, as you can tell this can be a sensitive subject for all Jeep owners. For those that have Jeeps steering properly it can hit a nerve if there is any insinuation it's applicable to all Jeeps (and that is true, it does not impact all Jeeps, likely a smaller % based on the huge Jeep...
Test drive until you find one you like the way it drives. As previous posters have mentioned the majority of the jeeps drive fine but there are some that do not (wandering and/or dead spot). My '19 Rubicon came off the lot with a 3" dead spot in the center (I test drove another color jeep...
Trying to get an idea of what certain wheels will look like on my silver Rubicon so trying to see if anyone here might be running something similar. I like the old school look so interested in pics of either white retro CJ wheels or steelies (like Fifteen52 Analog HDs). Thanks.
Question for those with the Tuffy security console. How far down does the lid and lock sit? Guessing with this installed it doesn't allow a tray to sit on top. Thanks.
Outside of looks/personal preference, is a sunshade a sunshade a sunshade specific to UV protection? I bought one shortly after buying my JLU but was mostly motivated by cost vs really doing any research. Thanks in advance for your input.
There are some threads on it but some had discovered that not all of the fuses are fully set from the factory and ensuring they're gently "clicked" in can help. Some have even suggested removing the electric steering fuse (F34 I believe), starting the jeep to let the error messages cycle. Turn...
