Sold: Texas Sunrider from High Tide

I'm selling my Sunrider from my High Tide. I wish I could keep it, but after my parents passed away within a few weeks of each other I decided to sell their house and head to Utah for the next phase of my life. The Sunrider would be perfect there, but it is just too big of a box and all my worldly possessions have to fit in the Jeep. It would cost me $165 to ship to Utah which I'm not opposed to if it doesn't sell quickly. I'm asking $650. Local pickup only. I live in Arlington, Texas.

That is also an option, but every inch of my Jeep will be valuable. I've been driving their CRV for a few months after selling my 4R. the Jeep has less room than the CRV.

I've also moved in a Jeep including a folded in half queen size Casper mattress. I took my Sunrider and hard tops - I'm in Los Angeles, but still only use the Sunrider and love it - a wonderful mod. A few suggestions from me. Get one of those huge waterproof roof top bags off Amazon that attaches to the top of your car. Fill it with stuff and either put this in that (if big enough) or use the remaining place inside your Jeep made available by the top bag. Also use trailer hitch basket ($80 to add the hitch if your Jeep didn't come with it) for extra storage - cheap from harbor freight and a waterproof bag from Amazon. You'd be amazed what you can get in the Jeep packed up like this. Once you get to Utah drive through neighborhoods and look for someone with a Jeep and a garage. Explain the situation to them and ask if they'll hold on to your top for a few months. Someone will. Or also ask the forum for Utah-based folks with a small spot in their garage to help a brother out. Condolences on your parents and good for you for taking the opportunity for an adventure. I did something similar w/ a job change and it's been amazing.

I didn't need a bag on the top for my drive to Cali but you get the idea w/ the "virtual trailer" on the back. If you have bikes that's the 1UP set-up on the back. Expensive but awesome.

All good tips. I don't have a tow hitch, but that should be an easy fix. Since I won't be towing a trailer, I'm guessing I could just buy the tow hitch without the wiring?

I would also admonish you to keep it. The freedom panels pack MUCH more neatly in their bag - I keep my sunrider on like, 9-10 months out of the year.

If it's already boxed up, you could just ship it up there.

It's likely because Bestop does not provide any warranty on tops not purchased directly from them or Jeep.

Probably the only reason I don't want to add this top is because the Jeep is already pretty noisy, but I guess it would make it harder to hear all the creaks and rattles.
