Since I had all my issues with my battery I am getting a battery tender and also going to get a multimeter so with that said what is a decent basic multi meter that I can use for car and home, been looking at this one but not sure

I would suggest that you get a clamp meter. The key benefit being that you can measure current on a wire without disconnecting it. Just clamp around it and take your reading.

Because you want home and auto functionality I would suggest auto ranging and look for both AC and DC current function. A quality instrument will run you around 200 bucks. But a cheap one that has all the functions you want is more than sufficient if you are careful with it and dont drop it or slam it around in your tool crib

Give me a good old Simpson 260 with LP Ohms function and I'm GTG! Seriously though, OP, your choice with the Klein meter will do fine for your needs.
