Thanks! There aren't many for sale out there. I think they might be tricky to install, too, since you wouldn't already have the wiring. But, I'll leave mine listed -- maybe drop the price if there are no takers. I guess it doesn't take up too much space. Although seeing all that emptiness on the sides still seems like such a waste -- in a garage or in the Jeep.

Bass is Omni directional, so covering it up, won’t change much, put a husky liner or a cargo mat over it and forget about it. It doesn’t hold that much stuff anyway and you’d have to make a lid or a lockable lid for anything important. I find that subwoofer to work very well and when I occasionally have a passenger, they’re always surprised at how good the audio system sounds. ?

Pulled mine it sounds fine as did with it neither is anything to write home about. Just unbolted and pulled the single wire from the passenger side.

I have stuff needed rarely but want to have under there since I keep my spare inside. All my other stuff goes in a bin I strap on top for trips.

I don’t have the plastic back in so you can kinda see the sub plugs in just in front of the seatbelt.

Do you just remove the plastic around the seatbelt assembly with trim removal tools (or a screwdriver)? And, do you know where the audio cable harness goes from there? Thinking of trying to remove the whole thing from mine

The part around the passenger side seatbelt did indeed just pry away from the body. (Felt like it was breaking, but I didn't break mine.)
I unplugged the harness, and didn't try to remove the rest of the wiring. The plastic snapped into place again when I was finished.

The subwoofer itself was just bolts as far as I remember. I do have a handful of photos + my memory, so feel free to ask about any specifics

Please confirm the large plastic piece will pull straight out, no pry tool necessary???? I tried this morning and like said, it felt like it was going to break, so I stopped. Thanks

I used pry tools -- Plastic and metal. No guarantees about breakage, because I've definitely broken things on my Jeep (like the little clips which hold the two pieces of the oval "frame" around the speaker to the cargo cover door) but, as far as I know, I didn't break mine. I think I found a video showing the clips on the panel when it was completely removed. I didn't remove mine completely -- Just enough to unplug. The cord bundle is also attached to the Jeep with some rubber stopper plugs.
