With a combination of my impact driver and a socket wrench, I’ve been Attempting to remove the door hinge t50 bolts. However, I’ve not only gouged the everloving hell out of my Jeep but I’ve also stripped 2 of the bolts. Any suggestions on how to get these out? I’ve not had to use any kind of extractor before and I’m unsure of the route I need to go. The bolts don’t need to be saved, I just need them out of there.

I've had varied success with stubborn fasteners using an air chisel(carefully). If you have enough metal left, hit the bolt at an angle to turn it, or go at it straight and it MAY loosen. This has worked well on rusted bolts/nuts for me. good luck !

Left hand drill to the bottom of the head, this will release the pressure of the head from the hinge. Then use a grab it screw removal tool (in reverse) if nessesary. Grab it screw removal tool can be found at any hardware store worth their salt or on Amazon if you care to wait.

Yes sir. I put hinge steps on my jeep too. $50 for steps, $200 for installation after I gouged my doors and screwed up multiple bolts.

Ended up taking it to an off-road shop and they even said they wouldn't do it again.

I'm glad I've got em, when I have to get up top, but my goodness they were a PITA to get installed.

Did you try using the correct size bit? Those are T55, not T50.
@SundayJeeper This ^^^. Pound it in all the way. That will also loosen paint. Then use a hammer drill with T55 on socket adapter. That little bit of hammer from drill help

Do you have a friend with a welder? I did the same thing on my TJ on the rear tailgate hinge.

What steps are being installed? Sorry for my ignorance have not seen anything needing to remove hing bolts. As for your problem dremel slot and a big fat flat head screw driver with Cresent wrench might do it. Or drink a few beers take to a shop so it their problem!

That's the technique I used when i had to remove the rear hinges for the oversized tire carrier. I hammered the torq socket in until it was tight. Then it was no issues coming out.

Body bolts....different story. Snap.
