I'm getting 35 r18s with new wheels for my JLUR and had a question (I still don't have my JLUR waiting on the order). I'm buying tires and wheels from an online retailer and they will ship me all mounted, balanced, TPMS etc ready to go for install. Can I use the stock scissor jack to lift one tire at a time to do the swap? I'm not sure how high stock jack lifts and if that will be good enough clearance for a 35, would this work? I can find some local shop for the job but I prefer to work on my vehicles :)

@18RubiJLU

Sure you can do with your scissor jack.

I do though, suggest ..... that you just go to Harbor Freight and buy yourself an inexpensive floor jack. They are not pricey at all. They are well worth having and spending $ for.

You say you "prefer to work on my vehicles" so with that said, you will be doing your tire rotations and such so you really might want to buy an inexpensive floor jack. Makes things easier and also safer..

Note: Even The Home Depot has a $30 floor jack offering...

Thanks Rhinebeck01.
I do have a 3-ton floor jack (actually two of them, one is low profile for my vette) and 2 pairs of 3-ton jack stands but max lift height from them is around 17" so I suspect that won't be good enough for this job. I'll add bigger 6-ton to my collection later on to work on the Jeep.
