I just installed JKS sway bar links along with the retention posts that mount up above the shock towers.
With sway bar links completely disconnected, i.e. the sway bar is completely free to move, the sway bar has no rotational movement. SO I cannot hook the disconnected sway bar links up to the retention posts.
I called JKS and the tech guy said that was odd, that you need to be able to get those links and sway bar tucked up. On his TJ (and mine) the sway bar falls downward as soon as the links are disconnected.
He recommended removing the sway bar and getting some grease between the bushing and the metal to allow the bar to rotate.
We have over 22k miles and numerous stressful off road adventures I would have thought this sway bar would have loosened up some at this point. Anyone having a similar situation?
