I’m looking at the Clayton and steersmarts yeti xd adjustable front track bars for my JLUR with Mopar lift and 37s. I currently have a rough country up front and don’t trust their crap anymore. The adjustable lower front control arms last less than a year so I replaced them with Clayton’s.

I see the yeti pro has a “pro series bushings” not sure if that is better than Clayton’s. Both appear to be fairly beefy, but the RC is as well.

I've never heard of either one of them bending, so take your pic.

I am personally running Clayon's kit with zero issues.

The yeti is just way too big. The adjuster sleeve makes it difficult to work around depending on your steering/stabilizer setup. I’m not a fan of punch bolts either. If the Clayton uses jam nuts I’d definitely go that route. Otherwise Rock Krawler and Metalcloak are great options. Yes, Rough Country is hot garbage.

I definitely like the looks of the yeti however, even though it’s pretty massive in the center, both ends still taper down. I may want to as a stabilizer at some point as well. It drives pretty solid now with the Clayton arms though. The RC has the knuckle clamp thing I am not a fan of. I’ll probably go with the Clayton because of their warranty and I am very impressed with their arms at this point.

If not Clayton, likely the metal cloak.

Thank you for the input

I have the Yeti XD's front and rear. Waited about a year after doing the Mopar lift/35's. Very happy with them. Yes the sleeve is large and you need to make sure things are positioned properly. But once done it hasn't been an issue. FWIW, I weighed the SteerSmarts vs. factory. Yeti XD front: 24#, factory: 9#. Yeti XD rear: 21#, factory:6.6#. The Yeti XD is so much beefier than stock I've wondered if the something else, like the mounting brackets will break before the track bar. So far everything is perfect; very pleased. Did both in black, too... didn't care for the red.

I have run the Steersmarts track bar…well the track bar, drag link, tie rod and steering box bracket for approximately 70,000 miles with thousands of off road miles. I replaced the original rubber bushings with the poly bushings back in the spring. Steersmarts has excellent customer service and support.

Did you notice a difference with the change in bushings?

I sid not notice a difference. I am just hoping that I get more than 70,000 out of the new bussing. You have to understand that we off road a lot... We just got back from off-roading in Alaska for two months. We were wheeling three to five days a week.
