Kind of related- the red stitching has come loose on my steering wheel, and is hanging down about 1/2”. I’ll be asking them to cover under warranty. I’m taking it in for the v-41 recall and a rear locker light that won’t stop blinking, so I’ll add it to the pile. 18’ jlur, 14,000 miles.

I’ve seen way more ridiculous shit warrantied out, just have it warrantied out.
Absolutely. I’ve never purchased a vehicle new enough to have a warranty, so I’m going to take advantage of anything that can be fixed. Especially since I’d like to see 10 years out of it.

303 to protect it from UV when top is down. Ditto for seats. Finished leather doesn’t need conditioner, and 303 is your best bet (after you make the dealer fix under warranty).
I use 303 on just about everything, great products.

I use a steering wheel cover/wrap to avoid this. $20. Amazon. Easy mod.
Yes, that is a great "mod" ( ) to completely destroy your steering wheel over 5-10 years. But if you are one of those who can't have a vehicle longer than a thought, then it is the next sucker who will have to deal with it.

I've noticed mine is getting a little sticky, and I've cleaned it several times with just some water and simple green, it still is vaguely sticky, wonder if it is also wearing out?
Do not use simple green on leather!! That’s why it’s sticky!!
