So I have a new issue and not sure what else to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
In November I brought my jeep in to get a state inspection.. and was told tie rods were junk. And they were I have them. I said okay so my mechanic decided to go with the Rock Jock Correct lync HD Tierod and drag link kit. No problem and he did an alignment. I picked it up and noticed once I hit any bump it goes into death wobble.,(scared the crap out of wife)never have I had any type of death wobble before even with the junk factory tierods. Mechanic has rechecked all front end components and says everything else is perfect and within spec. He even added some caster adjustment bolts to get caster to 6 degree. And replaced factory steering stabilizer shock. He is at odds and not sure what else to do.
Jeep has about 44k miles
2” AEV spacer lift
315 70 r17 tires MT Baja Boss
Rock trix wheels with 4.5” backspacing
Mechanic wants me to put stock wheels back on to see if it still happens…but it never happened with the current wheels until the tierod and drag link was replaced..
note mechanic is a in depth wrangler mechanic.
Sorry for so long but figured I would get as much info out as possible.
Thanks

Check the track bar and ball joints for wear as well.
They checked all that multiple times and said they were all good!

Balanced tires, and even wear on them? It’s not rocket science, so hopefully they are doing their diligence and checking more than just torque. There are some great you tube videos on the most likely culprits, and if everything is checked, and you still have death wobble, then it wasn’t checked correctly.
