This is a weird one. My steering wheel is straight. The vehicle drives straight. But suddenly the backup lines are 10 degrees off. I checked the digital steering angle and it shows 10 degrees right when the wheel is straight and the Jeep rolls straight.

It is almost certainly related to a battery change I just did.

How do I fix it?

Turn the wheel where the reading is 0 degrees and then adjust the draglink.

If you haven’t already done so, disconnect the battery/batteries and let it sit for a few minutes and reconnect and let it restart every thing again. Sometimes it takes a while for everything to get back to normal.

When you drive it does the Traction Control go crazy especially around turns? If you are off a full rotation of the steering wheel and the drag link needs adjusting then the computer will lose it's mind when you try to drive it if it thinks you are at 10 degrees.

Otherwise try disconnecting the battery for a bit.

No unusual behavior at all. I'll try the disconnect, reconnect.

Do you have an auxiliary battery? If so did you replace it and the main battery at the same time?

This turned out to be the fix! Total disconnect. Let it sit 15 or 20 minutes. Reconnect. Works properly now. It also fixed a minor problem where the backup camera was displayed in park.

Thanks for the help!

I do have an Aux but I did not replace it. Only the main suffered an early death.
