Hi everyone!

Since a few weeks I've installed the steer smarts trackbar, tie rod and draglink and steering stabiliser relocation brackets (axle and tie rod side). I noticed that when the suspension bottoms out the trackbar adjustment clamps hit either the axle (FAD housing) or the steering stabiliser. I've tried to find a sweet spot for the adjuster clamps but it just keeps hitting either of the aforementioned parts.

Is there anyone else that has this problem or has had this and has a solution?
I've attached a photo so you guys can see what I mean hopefully, it's a bit dark but I hope someone can help out.

*edit* I forgot to mention, It's a JLU Sport S with Rubicon take off springs and fox 2.0 shocks and aside of the steer smarts parts and the springs and shocks the rest is stock.

Thanks in advance!!

You need more lift…… I haven’t found a way to keep it off each other at stock, or Rubi takeoff height, if you find a solution let me know…..

Can the adjustment clamps be rotated 180 degrees so they’re pointing down?

Definitely an option but it seems I’ll have the same issue except it’s then in upwards travel.

I wrote steer smarts and they send a link for smaller clamps. It could be a solution but… I don’t like the idea of having the clamps on with 4 Allen key bolts. That’s definitely going to get stripped out in time when it rusts up…

Yeah, I don’t do pinch clamps on anything anymore if I can help it, I have the most success with jam nuts, I know some out there hate them, but in most cases not all, it’s because they fail to get the proper torque on them….I’ve never had one loosen up on anything…YMMV…..

Yeah, same issues. I'm moving over to a Metalcloak with no clamps.

Those replacement clamps I think will be fine.
It's a similar concept to what a ton of people use on their hydro steer or SS clamps mounted on the tie rod.

You could try grinding the excess threads off of the clamping bolts. Looks like about a quarter of an inch can be gained, which may be enough.

And as Roky eluded to above, the SteerSmarts linkages are chunky and work best with taller ride heights and tires that don't allow the track bar to compress as high into the underside as it does at lower ride heights.
