Spiderweb Shade Alternative?

Hey all,

Had a spiderweb shade extended version for my 2 door jk and was looking at getting one for my new JL Unlimited.

Does anyone recommend something other than the spidershade? Or is spidershade still the way to go?

My only thing is the the J-Top has all those nylon straps for the buckles...I watched the install video and i can't even tell you how many times the guy had to tuck those up....

Anyone have one that can comment on the straps and what they do to keep them up and out of the way? Or do you let them hang? I couldn't let them hang, it would annoy the crap out of me!

My only problem with the Spiderweb is that the elastic bands seem to get stretched out. I have only had mine for two years on my JK and I don't think the shade is as taut as it used to be.

If I am going to end up spending $200 on a shade I just want to make sure I am getting the best one.

SpiderWebShade is still the way to go IMO! I got mine in about a week ago, but the weather hasn't been nice enough to use it yet.

I am glad you brought this up. I worked closely with Mike the owner of Jtops and I was lucky enough to have the first one they ever produced. After utilizing the top for the entire weekend the straps that were hanging down were my biggest concern. Luckily yesterday when I brought it up to Mike they said they already tackled a solution! Every top that has been pre ordered will not have this strap issue and he is also working on making an updated install video.

What's that rear deck cover? I have one for my JK which worked well and I've been patiently waiting for a deck cover for my JL.

I go from garage at home to garage at work and unless there is a ton of traffic my JK made it through most rainstorms with a shade top and deck cover, just like the image above.

Where were you able to order the American flag print version? I don't see that on their site.

If you contact them by phone or email they will set you up with a link to their custom design shop. Then you can design any print, pattern or logo that you can think of. They were very helpful and patient with me changing colors.
