I've installed a full spiderweb shade and now that I'm planning to install a maximus-3 pioneer roof rack I'm asking myself (before I purchase) if I'll need to cut through the shade, or whether the brackets will work around it.

Anyone done this? I'd imagine cutting holes could lead to a lack of integrity in the shade. Definitely a con vs the separate front and back panel products

Ya'll probably think I'm crazy...I can just take it off. But, I've been running it under my hard top and really like it like that. I guess I'll have to deal with it, or get the front and rear panel version from a different vendor.

Have you ever figure that out?
