I've never seen a COP fail yet. OEM systems are built very well at this point, and unless you are running a ton of boost or w/mi I wouldnt be concerned. Plug gap adjustments would handle the bulk of everything.
As far as a N/A 3.6 is concerned, oem coilpacks, little bit of dielectric grease, torque them appropriately, OEM gap should be aces.
I have yet to look into aftermarket plugs for the Pentastar, but I tend to run iridium or ruthenium NGK's in my vehicles. More important for boosted applications though.
