SOT HELP!

Hi my husband and i are in the market to buy a 2018 or newer JL - We cant find many with the SOT already installed. Does anyone know if you can have the SOT installed after purchasing the Jeep. If so can you recomeend location or where to purchase and install. We live in So Cal but can drive to other states close by. Thank you!

I would assume any dealership/shop would be able to install one. There are two motors in the back of the top that open/close it.

I would contact your local dealer or shop to get the proper part numbers. The hardest part of the job I would assume is wiring up the motor and the switch.

I guess a dealer would be best bet, but it will cost $$$.

If you went the DIY route, there is a thread on here somewhere, where a guy installed one himself. It has all the part numbers and everything.

^what failsafe said. Getting it installed by someone after the fact - especially a dealer - is probably the least cost effective way to get it. Installing it yourself isn’t a horrible option but getting it on an existing jeep is probably your best bet in terms of cost and time invested.

Why can't you find one with it? I'll give you a tip, dealers don't know how to advertise them because all the on-line sites don't have a proper description box to tick.

So I got used to finding them by looking for the absense of the vertical line on the top behind the driver seat that identifies a hardtop when looking at a side view...I found lots of them that way.
