I was referring to the sunrider for hardtop and my point was that you don't have to come to a complete stop nor get out of the Jeep to close it.

As a "forum" I gave my opinion of the SOT and soft top on page one and then expanded to say why I think the sunrider is the best of both worlds as an open air soft top.

It’s more like 30 seconds.

30 seconds while on vacation with wife, don’t care at all
Extra 30 second task while loading kids and their accessories in the car multiple times a day - brutal

It bothers me that I have to wait a second to start the wrangler after I sit in it. If you just hop in and press the start button, it turns on ACC mode, it isn’t fully on unless your sitting down for 2 seconds. Even that delay bothers me.

Yea you may want to rethink your priorities if those things are bothering you. And maybe have a better plan on what to do with those kids before you get to the car to put them in.

Clearly don’t have kids, or haven’t had young kids in a long time.

Come on over and make a plan on getting them in the car efficiently and watch them shit all over your plan lol.

We went with the SOT. My wife is strongly partial to convertibles. When you want it open, push a button. When you want it closed, push a button. When you want it part way open, hold the button until it's where you want it then let go. If a shower pops up, just slow down to 60mph and hit the button. It's immensely convenient.

I didn't know you could just go so far back. I thought you had to have it all the way back.

You can touch the button again to stop it wherever you want. If you stop it over the rollbar, however, your satellite radio will get crappy reception.

It's like the front windows in most cars (Wrangler excluded). Touch the button and it will open or close the full distance. Long press it and it will stop at that position when you release the button.
