Closing barely makes any noise for mine

Yea, you have downward motion to latch and upward motion to unlatch so you will hear both, but opening is louder that closing. From hearing yours it's just unlatching. If you have driven in the rain or washed and sprayed water in that corner and you do not have a leak there its closing fine. I have driven in Texas thunderstorms and no leaks.

I’m going to weigh in with it sounds like mine opening. Which should make the ratio, taking shoes off to count, 70/30 by my digital count. BUT mine makes the same sound closing, so I guess that makes it 85/40???

I’m going to lay down. My head hurts now…
