SOLVED - Unrecognized USB drive - Uconnect 7 inch.

I bought a USB drive specifically for the Uconnect to load it with music, but when putting it in the USB slot it isn't recognized and says "insert device"


I have looked all through the owners manual and google but cannot find any requirements or listings of limitations and what is compatible.


Does anyone know if there is a size limit, or number of files limit when using the USB media option in the UConnect 4 - 7 inch in a 2023 Wrangler?

It has to be formatted to NTFS and not fat32.

Wait… I may have said that backwards. It might be Fat32 instead of ntsb. See this thread for better details.

If phone is in usb-c then put the flash drive in the center console usb.

Yeah I definitely said it backwards. The usb drive has to be formatted to FAT32. Sorry, sir.

? dunno about NTSB, but I did try formatting to NTFS and that worked. Maybe just a coincidence, but thanks for the help!
