Name this noise

this noise that can be heard winding down as you come to a stop and happens randomly. Finely caught it with a friend who could record it. Was in the shop for this previously and they replaced the muffler...whatever.

That is bizarre. Sounds almost like an electric motor winding down, like in a worn out power window. I would first try to figure out if it's coming from under the dash or under the hood.

road speed related vibration... I'd look at all rotating parts, maybe the plastic shield on the axle is bound up? something rubbing?

This is definitely rotation related. Happened a few times today and seems to be happening more often. Now hearing periodically when accelerating during a turn from stop. Every time it happens, if I come to complete stop it goes away.

Is your Jeep stock? The only thing I can think of is that maybe something is rubbing against the sidewall of one of your tires. Like when you try to stop a spinning bicycle tire with your hand, it makes a similar whine. I would check to see if there are any visible rub marks on the insides of your tires or if any of the hoses/cables near them have come loose. Just a guess, I don't really have a clue

Completely stock. Actually made the noise day one on the ride home from the dealer. At that time thought gas cap was loose and whistling. Got out, tightened the cap and for several days thought I’d fixed it. Otherwise I was headed right back to the dealer. Reality was that it went away because I came to a stop.

Will Check for rub marks when I get back to the Jeep

could even be a brake pad, does braking/hard braking have any impact on the sound level? I'm curious as to what you find.
