My 22 4xe constantly makes this noise, even when driving on the highway (video). It is very annoying. It is at the dealer for the second time, and the tech keeps saying this is normal. The tech said it's the top flexing with the body. I am telling them This has nothing to do with the top, it does the same without a top, and it shouldn't be flexing like that. I even showed them the same video.

I would love some input. Should I take it to another dealer? Or is this normal?

Remove the plastic parts. What does it do?
I bet you could put some cloth or padded spacers in there and it would stop the noise.

I would try and just wedge a felt carpet slider or something in the seam somewhere until it quit moving on its own and squeaking and call it a day. Its not normal, but also not unheard of when you have plastic on plastic. Other option is to take the plastic off and see what you can find out. Most likely just snugging up the plastics will fix it.

I did take all the plastic trim off, trying to see if I could figure it out myself, but it kept doing the same. It's the metal frame that's making the noise. There aren't any bolts in that section I could adjust.

That sounds like my bed when it's party time.

That creaking noise would annoy the heck out of my ocd. You could try another dealer, but be prepared for "it's a Jeep thang..." response.

Unfortunately, no. And the dealer did not do a thing about. I ended up getting rid of this Jeep last year. Not because of this issue. We wanted a bigger truck for the family.
