Anyone have ideas / suggestions on good soft top storage? I haven’t been able to find good hooks large enough to hang it plus something to store the plastic windows without scratching them without taking up a ton of space in the garage. Thanks for any advice.

That or I just lay the windows on my work bench with soft towels between.
i wish I had a garage that had room for a work bench. I am envious. I'll see if I have room to store my hardtop this spring when I buy a soft top. Otherwise I may find a small heated garage I can rent to store them and have room to work on my Wranglers.

Yeah I'm spoiled with a 2 car garage. My husband and I are thinking about putting heat in there this spring/summer when we run our gas lines. After this -30 crap, my husband has sold me on a heated garage. :like:

Mine is a 2 car also but with my JKU and JL there is barely room to open the doors part way let alone store much. I'm not like a lot of people in my neighborhood who only put one of their vehicles in the garage and the other on the driveway. And if you have a full size pickup forget it. I don't think a Charger will fit if you want any room to walk in front of it. I just need a house in the country with an attached 4 car garage. Isn't that my constitutional right? Seems like Thomas Jefferson put something like that in there.

I installed a hard top hoist on the ceiling. Late fall, early winter when the hard top goes on the jeep I lift a piece of plywood notched to stay level on the hoist straps and use that to store the soft top, the door surrounds, the soft top windows and any misc jeep stuff I won't be using until spring, like the doorless mirrors. It's up so high I don't walk into it all the time like I do when my hard top is up there.

Can your please share a pic of this adapted plywood, as I have a hard top hoist as well and would like to use it to store my soft top.

All it is is a piece of plywood cut to the approximate width and length of the hard top with little cut outs to keep the straps from sliding off. The piece of plywood in the pic is from my two door. I had to change 3 of the 4 lift points for the 4 door hardtop so the plywood is a little short but that’s the general idea.

Here is what I am using:

- 3 utility hooks from Home Depot.
- Soft top boot by Jtops USA to keep the soft top folded together with additional velcro straps.
- Mopar bag for the soft windows.
- Bungee cords to keep the frame parts together.

The Bestop Sunrider top is also up there until early Spring.

Thanks for responses. I ended up ordering the smittybilt storage bag that got good reviews and am hoping I can get it all in there and hang on the wall similar to what udog does, with dividers between the widows so no scratches. I don't hoist my hard top, I just store it for the spring / summer in the yard covered with a tarp as I don't have one of those nice big heated garages some of you have. Hoping this works out and will send pics once done in case others find it helpful.
