I have a 22 Sahara about 2 months old. I have had the soft top on for about a month and a half. I am trying to put top back but when I unlatch one side of the top the other side will not unlatch. i Try to do the other side and the same thing happens. I don’t understand why one side unlatches and the other side won’t. It doesn’t matter if it is right or left side. Does anyone have any solutions or have had this problem?

I think it's probably not stretched out enough since it's new. Mine (twill) did something similar. It was pretty difficult to latch and unlatch the first few times. I recommend you have someone *gently* push on the back of the soft top (like above the spare tire at the top...pushing toward the front of the vehicle) while you unlatch both and see if that helps. I understand you are saying one will unlatch but the tension is too great to allow the other to do so as well...

Maybe that will help. Another option to try is unlatch but not all the way....like pull down on the latch part way on each at the same time before fully disengaging them both. But in the end...I think your softtop is just new and too tight right now which is pretty normal.

the soft top can be temperamental depending on the temperature as well. Let the jeep sit in the sun for a few minutes to warm the top up and it should be fine. I have had to do this with mine a handful of times.

I have had it sitting in my driveway in 100 degree temps for past month. I had it at beach in May and had no problem unlatching it. This problem just started. I may have to take to dealer and let them figure it out. Thanks for your help!!
