On my way to a friends house yesterday I noticed the passenger side of the soft top blowing out over the door rails. upon further inspection it seems as if the front part of the tension cable is either broken or disconnected. Has anyone tackled replacing this?

your probably still under warranty! take it to the dealer and they'll probably replace the top.

Been there, gone through this. Replacement cables aren't available. Bestop will tell you to call Mopar because it's an OEM part and they don't stock replacement parts for it. Either have to get the whole top replaced (the fabric part), wait for aftermarket replacement cables, or get some cable crimping tools and try to make one yourself.

I haven't.

But in case you buying the part is indicated, and you need help finding it, is this the part you're having issue with:

What did you end up doing, if I can ask. I have a Trektop Ultra that had the cable break at some point by the rear bow (eyelet end).
