Soft top rear bracket bolt size?

The frame of the soft top bolts to the upper rear portion of the roll cage with two bolts on each side.

Does anyone know the size and thread pitch of these bolts?

I have a hard top but would like to mount something using the threaded lugs where the soft top frame mounts but I do not know what size bolts to get.

I'm pretty sure they are part number 6512230AA. Specs for these screws are M8x1.25x28.0

That is encouraging.

I do have a 8x1.25 tap and it does start into those holes but gets snug. That might just be from the paint that is on the threads. I was hesitant to crank on it with anything other that my fingers because if I strip it, well....
