I don’t follow. Can you post a picture?I just put these in the holes in the tub of the Jeep, then carefully put the pillar on.

I could snap a pic the next time I get around to taking the soft top all the way off, but basically I'm talking about the holes that the two "guide pins" (not sure what to call them) go in to here...I don’t follow. Can you post a picture?

That's where I was getting awful vibration.
Hi Misterw675,I have rattle on my rear driver window plastic rail. The soft top rattles when I rolls back into place for freedom top or when fully down. Doesn’t happen on passenger side. Almost as if the guide rail is too big on that side.
Tried this over the weekend, and it worked perfectly. Used a 5/16 for the smaller hole, and a 1/2 for the larger one.I found something that seems to work - I found some rubber grommets at a local hardware store (Menards). I just put these in the holes in the tub of the Jeep, then carefully put the pillar on. Had to hold the grommets toward the back of the Jeep from underneath - they tend to slip through otherwise. End result - ZERO NOISE, doesn't move at all!!!!Best $2.95 I've ever spent!!!

I’m having this same issue, but on the passenger side. Did you ever find a solution? My 2020 JLU (6/2020 build date) Premium soft top just started rattling. We are at 300 miles and have used the top several times without any issues. However, yesterday, after putting it up, it started to rattle.
I have tried reseating the soft top several times but its rattling continues only on the driver's side at the bow above the sound bar. If I tap on the outside of the bow, I can replicate the rattle. I am now trying to determine the exact location that's come loose.

I'm getting a rattle on the upper passenger side also (2020 JLUR 6/2020 build date), have either of you found it? I'm just over 700 miles when it started the rattle.I’m having this same issue, but on the passenger side. Did you ever find a solution?
I did see my post belowIm having the same issue with the release latch. Had the dealer replace the cable / latch once. Now we’re 900 miles away on vacation and it’s back!! Ugh.
did anybody find a fix or work around for the latch rattle?
I'm going to have to give this a hard look on mine! Did you get a chance to take a pic? My rattle came back. I know if i hold the rear top release handle it stops it.... can't go down the road with top up over 45mph. it'll vibrate so bad you can't stand it!I FIXXXED IT I FIXED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so, went off roading the other day and my top rattled the whole damn time, it was so bad and annoying I was ready to throw the top over a cliff.
Got home, pulled my sunshade down, and started looking. I realized if i held onto one of the bars it wouldn't rattle. hmmm ok. I took the plastic door frame off, that did nothing. Shined my flashlight up into the frame of the top, and thought maybe it was one of the pins on the hinges. nope. not it.
so then i looked in from the outside, and noticed the support bar that goes across the top from right to left was actually touching the hinge. (sorry no pics, it started raining lol)
so now for the fix, wrapped the end of the bar in electrical tape probably about 6 times. Tested it by trying to rattle the frame, and no rattle. Put everything back together, drove down the street, hit a few curbs, and what do you know, NO MORE RATTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hopefully this may help a few of you out.
