Have a hard top now on my 19 JLU. Looking at the soft top options. Any reason I should look at the bestop trek over the stock mopar?
Looks like there is a new trek one coming out (super?). Just wondering if they are really that much better than the stock one.

I love the TrexTop NX Fastback. IMO something is not quite right with the OEM soft top with the windows removed and the large overhang of the top. The TrexTop NX eliminates that and I think the look is a lot sharper.

It's mostly which design you like better. Bestop makes the OEM top, too

Looking to buy one was thinking about this top ... easy install ? Quick removal?

I just can't see the logic or beauty in the fastback top. The safari mode in the stock top looks better. I bought mine from the dealer for less than the Bestop which wasn't available at the time. It helps build my relationship with my dealer so they are mire helpful to my needs.
Also don't want to drive around with the name emblazoned on the back of the top unless they want to pay me $500/yr advertising fee. I debadge my vehicle so why would I not do that to the top.

Agreed on the factory top looking better! But each person has their own likes. I run the factory standard soft top year round. My favorite configuration is doors off in safari mode.

So I just spent all afternoon installing an OEM soft top after going through this...

Bestop makes the OEM version. For me, I have a 2-door, so if I wanted full convertible, that’s only an option with the Mopar version.

Before I learned that tidbit, the consideration was two-fold: price and style. I personally dislike fast backs, but the price difference was large enough that I seriously considered it. A third consideration you’ll have to make: how important is it to you to get this relatively soon? If you want the super top ultra, it’s back-ordered and can take a while.

It entirely comes down to what your personal preference is. From my understanding, the quality is the same, which makes sense since they manufacture both. So it comes down to what look you like/features you want, how much you’re willing to pay, and when you want to receive it.

I got mine for a discounted price through a dealer. Placed my order yesterday, it arrived within 24 hours and is now on my Jeep.

It entirely depends on your preference. When I decided to get a soft top for my 19 Sahara, I did some research and ended up settling on the Mopar OEM soft top. Never regretted it. The fastback was not an option for me.

First time install is tricky but probably no more tricky that the full soft top. There really isn't a quick removal option. The top has the ability to be flipped back so the front 1/2 is open. What's great is that you can flip back the front section at a light or a stop sign, no need to get out of the vehicle. I fully remove the top in the Winter and put on the hard top and full removal takes about 30min.

What's great about Jeeps is that everyone can customize their own to their preferences and I've always liked the fastback look.
