Soft Top Bar bent...

An overzealous teenager tried to force open the softtop, instead of using the unlatch flip on the back.

Resulted in a bent bar that looks like it's about to break.

I've left the top down and am reluctant to put it back up as it looks like it's about to snap.

Do you have any advice on how to fix this? Or is going to be a complete redo?

Very interesting.

I just bought a used 2020 with the dual top option.


When I attempted to install the soft top, I found the following (see pics) bent bar.

Time to dig around looking for internet solutions.

Looks like Mopar 68453664AA for $120 to $140 from a few different places.

I ordered this yesterday. Wish me luck this is the correct part and on getting the part swapped out.

I think I found a cheaper route, time will tell if it is the easier route too... I am not looking forward to getting that arm removed (based on other people's posts).

Sometimes you can find the full soft top with surrounds for $200 on Facebook Marketplace. I picked one up in the spring when my passenger rear surround roller channel broke. Now I have lots of spare parts including both folding arms, the other rear surround and all the bows and doo dads.. Spent a little more but got a lot..

Replacement accomplished last night, with the part listed above in a previous post from me.


I used a simple carpenter "flat bar" crowbar & hammer, with the soft top upside down on the lawn. After about 3-4 swift hits on the tool, prying against the locking hub, it popped off. Totally worth it to have it removed & laying upside down.

I did need an extra hand (3rd), from my wife to hold the locking hub in the air, to get the job done.
