I recently added this bumper to my JLU along with the x20 10k winch. I really like the look of this and got the front and rear bumpers on sale. I found the install of the bumper / winch to be fairly easy given the instructions weren’t the best. I upgrade from the plastic bumper so I was able to reuse my stock fogs.

That is what I was going to do with my grill also! That looks sick!

Plastidip grill, satin purchased, or permanent painted? I've heard of some using the bedliner paint for durability...

Does the rear bumper come with mounting points for the factory 7-pin plug? The two holes?
No holes in bumper, mounts same as before to bottom of frame... I didn't like it that way, hung down too low and was a grabber. So I moved it forward of the frame and mounted it using the same bolts as the hitch, pointing it downward though. Minimized footprint for crawling. And since I've removed the beer barrel exhaust in favor of the Magnaflow Cat-back Off Road Pro series exhaust, I had all that space just in front of the rear bumper, soooo...

Front LP uses Rusty’s flip up LP holder. Back LP I modified and relocated the included S/B LP holder from the spare to the bumper. Spliced the LP light with QD also.
How did you mount your rear bumper backup sensors?

I've got the smittybilt gen 2 bumpers front and rear in my garage waiting on new JL to come in. Parts are easier to get than a two door around here. I'm debating on winches but leaning toward the warn VR 10s. I'm also waiting on a KC flex 10" light bar.

What size are those lights? Looks to be a tight fit.

The instructions advise how to remove them from the stock and install in new. Piece of cake...

Yes! I temporarily had to use the non-led fogs from my sons JLU Sport until I replaced them with the Inspired Engineering Black Cube Series fogs...

Just put mine on. Replaced the plastic bumper and the LED fogs went right in. Install was fairly easy, but I would recommend having some help to get it up on the frame

. Hoping to put an x20 winch in it before too long.

I’m still up in the air on this. Love the bumper it’s son heavy. I have a steel cable winch (have had it since December when I thought I had a bumper on the way but it fell through). Would be so much weight between the two.

On the other hand I really do dig it, and the price! Decisions decisions.

Looks great in those pics!

I installed the XRC this past weekend. I like the looks of this bumper but beware it is just not sized to fit Warn winches. I tried to pair it with a Warn Zeon 10s. The bumper its self was a pretty easy install but fitting the winch in the bumper took about 4 hours. where the winch mounts you have to cut the upper+inner corners off of both frame rails. This bumper only mounts with the other 3 holes anyway. Install tip, use a pneumatic die grinder because you will overheat your dremmel before the first cut is made.

Once you hack up your new $50,000+ jeep's frame you will find that the bumper also needs to be cut before the winch can line up with the mounting holes in the bumper. Once you finish grinding your new bumper and the winch is in you will come to the realization that if you need to ever replace your headlight bulbs you will have to completely remove the winch from the vehicle. To replace headlight bulbs you have to take off the grill and the winch is right against it.

Final thoughts are I like the bumper's looks and the winch does fit after A LOT of work, The construction is very strong and it checked off all of my must-haves: 1. winch sits between the frame rails for airflow and looks, 2. uses factory fog lights, 3. has a manly bull bar, 4. has a skid for the electric sway bar disconnect.

With the extra weight of the bumper and winch over the factory plastic bumper it sits right about 3/4 of an inch lower at the axle than it did before. If you are wondering the factory plastic bumper weighs 32 pounds.

Here are the pictures

Both corners have finish damage. Strange thing is the box was perfect, this tells me it was packed that way.

Here is where i had to grind the bumper to make it fit

The other side technically fit but it is right against the steel of the bumper so a winch cover cannot fit to protect the expensive rope.
