Went to my dealer to add the Active Safety Package to my build placed 2-23-18. I know I’m not getting this Jeep anytime soon cause I ordered it with the PST so didn’t think this would be an issue......here’s the text messages to my salesman that transpired after I went in on Tuesday in person to add the package.
Here’s my question..... do you think I’m being salty for no reason? Cause I think that was a dick response to a customer shelling out 40k for a Wrangler.

Dude im also quite salty. And peppery. I spoke to my dealer yesterday saying im thinking of asking for my deposit back. I got the same unsympathetic response. I told him the biggest issue for me is the lack of communication, and I asked him a bunch of questions like if they know why there is such a big delay. He replies with one sentence saying 'he'l call me when he gets an update'.

So i basically complain that the communication from Jeep is not good enough, and he replied not answering any of my questions. I mean seriously. I work for a company that takes customer service pretty seriously, so this just blows my mind. I get that things go wrong, but I dont think ive ever experienced something like this. FCA should be ashamed.

I've ordered a 2 door Rubi in Black with the black wheels and polished lip. PST., loaded with everything except Steele bumper and smokers group.

They have not started. I just spoke with someone at Jeep and they said they have not started the 2 doors

My 2 door is in JB...coming in 2 weeks.

I've driven a manual one and that's what I'd get. Definitely less usable power than the old 4.0, which they shouldn't have replaced at least they look pretty good inside and out

This surprises me. my dad has tacoma i think its a 2008 manual trans and i believe a 4 cylinder and think it has a lot more power than my 3.8L pentastar with auto trans in my 08 JK

Couple things here

1: That truck was probably a single or access cab, and/or 2wd, which would greatly help it feeling powerful or not slow.

2: Pre-2012 JK's did not have a Pentastar motor, as it did not exist yet. They had a 3.8L shitty 90's minivan-sourced motor (pushrod 2 valve I believe) that had 215hp, and that 4 speed auto was a power-robbing dog. The JK truly sucked in my mind until 2012.

Hopefully I will get mine in June. With my luck it will show up when I am on my 2 to 3 week road trip to the North East in July
