I am considering buying a Wrangler that has a Sky One Touch roof. My concern is whether or not I should be worried that during colder weather that it will be colder inside the Jeep compared to a hard top. Should I be concerned it’s that or is there really no problem?

Eh ... haven't been in a One Touch, but I'd assume it'd be similar to a Soft Top and those aren't all that bad.

..... granted, I was the one in a 2 Door TJ doing 40 down the highway in the snow ... so ... yeah lol

I was worried about it as well since I can't use my garage for the time being. But the cabin heating in the new Jeeps is really powerful! It warms up to temp quickly.

So far all I'm doing is making sure there isn't a ton of snow on the top. A push broom works well to keep it off.

And I've read comments elsewhere from people who have kept their SOT out in the cold weather for years now with no problems.

I too was debating between hard top or sky one touch. I went with hard top for the noise levels. The Rubicon X with the hard top and Mopar insulation is meaningfully quieter on the highway.

As to your question on temperature, the fiber glass hard top, even with the Mopar insulation does not keep the cold out, so I don't think there is much of a difference. The Sky One touch is substantially better insulated than a regular soft top.

Also note that cabins tend to be more comfortable when they are warmer lower and colder on top, so I would not "cold" being a deciding factor in your choice.

P.S. The SOT is now $995 option on Rubicon X (used to be $4,000).

The heater works fine to keep the cab comfortable with the SOT. I added the hothead liner and it's even better now, plus quieter.

I have just picked mines up on Monday there 25plate Sahara sky one touch roof and I can say it feels fine to me and like the other comments state the cabin can be rapidly heated with the heating system in place I stay in the uk up in Scotland and we get horrible wet windy weather and this few days alone have been fine for me

Not a issue...even here in possibly wet/snowy N.J. 🗽
Really cold and miserable outside? Stay in. 🙃
Otherwise: Remote start/heated cabin/heated seats/heated steering wheel.
Not a issue for a guy who used to go to work at 4AM in a Honda with none of the above features.

Remote start ? Is that not only for the phev version ? I’m in the uk and don’t think we have this

The Hotheads Headliner is a must! It's -19F this morning in Fairbanks and it was cold inside but warmed up fairly quickly. I do use the remote start to preheat the Jeep but it is up to temp rapidly. I can't say enough good things about the headliner except it should come that way from the factory!

SOT in Colo during winter is not a problem. Don't notice it being any colder than my 2dr with the hard top. I wouldn't get a SOT if I couldn't park in a garage. SOT is great, family loves it.
