Not necessarily. This is how my buddy's gladiator with them tweaked his, he forgot the switch and it nuked the step the first obstacle he tried to get out on.

That said I'd still buy them again in a heartbeat.
The set I put on my wife's JLU are gen 3 and I tested them to make sure they would stop if anything was under them. I guess I got lucky. They worked as advertised. Sorry to hear about your friend's Gladiator.

We will be bringing my Rubicon out your way in mid September. My daughter's in-laws (who we've become good friends with) live in Golden and invited my wife and I for a week in Lake City, CO. They have a JKU Rubicon and we will be off roading a lot during that week.
Awesome, lake city is a great spot and you will be able to jeep all the big passes! I've covered alot of that area in a jeep and on my motorcycle. You'll have an amazing time!

I have the Mopar performance rock rails on my ‘19. The only fully wife approved mod on there, lol.

Jeep is on 2” Mopar lift and 35’s, wife is 5’0” and shown for scale.

I thought it was half doors for second, till I looked in the window.

I thought about those steps. But I really don’t want to make it easier for guess to get in an out, so I won’t get asked to randomly drive them around… For dates, I tend to like short girls, say around 5’ and gives me an excuse to pick them up.
Gives a whole meaning to going out to pick up girls…?

My wife and I are both relatively short people, so I bought this from Amazon to help us get into and out of our new 2022 Jeep Wrangler Sport S. The installation went well, even for me who is mechanically challenged, and they look nice to me.

They are a big help getting in, but I still find I tend to slide out when exiting.

Clever excuse! But remember the short ones have easier access going for your balls when rightfully provoked. Be vigilant and stay safe.

ARB Sliders installed. Not sure about them as a step or at least, I’m not use to them. I like them enough getting in, getting out just feels odd at the moment. But they certainly feel very sturdy and lighter then I thought it would be.

ARB was a little crazy with the packaging I feel.

Got these mounted finally. TNT customs rock sliders. Install was not bad at all and the very stout. The mount to the front in 4 different point for each end. Painted them with steel it paint.

For anyone needing a step without really wanting to change the rock sliders this is an option:

https://mountainoffroad.com/products/hide-a-step-black-jl

The step part is spring loaded up when not being stepped on. It can also be quickly removed by pulling two pins if you're going off road and think you might be dragging on the sliders.

I just ordered one so can't comment first hand on it yet but they do seem to get good reviews.

Love my Rock Slide Engineering Step Sliders. Had the Mopar heavy-duty rock slides, but they really don't offer any help getting in and out.

Now that you've had the ARB's for a while now can they be used as a step getting in and out?
Do you like them or would have rather gotten something different?

I'm looking for a rock rail with a step.
