My Jeep is a 2019 2 door Sport and I'm going to change the shocks on. The Jeep has 98,000 miles with the OEM shock, so it is time to change them out.

I'm running Rubicon take offs wheels and tires which were a great upgrade over the stock wheels and tires. So the real quetion is what shocks should I install. Stay with the OEM shocks or put on some Rubicon takeoff shocks if I can find them.

If I buy new what brand is recommended.

Thanks

Your shocks need to match your springs, not wheels/tires. If you have stock springs, you need stock size shocks. Shock preference is largely subjective so do your research and make your choice. But you want stock size shocks for the Sport. Length matters because they literally keep your springs from falling off at full extension.

Rubicon take-off wheels/tires don't matter. Rubicon take-off springs do matter (in which case you want stock size shocks for the 2dr Rubicon).

Normal red body Rubicon shocks would work on your Jeep just fine. You can find them cheap everywhere. Its a bit longer gives you a bit more down travel.

Dont make it complicated.

I just put Rubicon shocks and springs on my 21 Sport s and I gained 2.5 inches .
I read it would only raise it 1.5-2
I must have measured it 10 times to make sure I was seeing right
Very happy with the change , now it’s time for new tires

Very happy with the Bilstein 5100s, can’t recommend them enough if you like a firm (not harsh) controlled ride.
