Hello, I have a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 6spd that was recently shipped from the U.S. to Japan. The Jeep left the factory and was transported here to Japan without going to a stateside dealer. Unfortunately, the Jeep has the Ship Mode still activated, and I am unable to turn off. I have tried the hazards and up arrow method, no luck. I have tried the mute button and ignition method, no luck. The Jeep service centers here in Japan, mentioned both methods don't work for the 2025MY. They also don't have the device that US dealers have that would remove the Ship Mode. I have already called 3 US dealers, and no luck. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Switch on the hazards with power off should do it.

Mute+Power off to enable, hazards in any mode seem to disable on my 24.

I switched on hazards with power off, and no luck. It still shows Ship Mode.

I'm not sure, but JSCAN may be able to fix this, or AlfaOBD. Get an obdlink MX+ and a Tazer (or other gateway bypass), worthwhile things to have anyway.
Edit- google says they don't work, but the button press sequence should. I would contact your seller, whoever that is.

Thank you Jeep Wick for the guidance. I purchased the Jeep through Military Auto Source. Unfortunately the button sequence (ignition-run, engine off, hazards on, steering directional up arrow pressed) doesn't work.

It sounds like you followed the sagely advice above without it helping. But just in case something got lost in the narrative of what you should do versus that which is necessary, can you confirm that your procedure was consistent with any of the following?

What purpose does Ship Mode serve? Said differently, what can't the new owner do with the vehicle until that mode is disabled? No Joy from a quick googling on the subject.

Yes, I tried the ignition-run (engine on and off) hazards, and steering up directional arrow cycling through the 10 option menu's...no luck. I'm thinking it might not work because it is a 6spd Manual

Does your Jeep beep after you have done the above?

Joe's_Roxy, there is no beep with the aforementioned procedure. I've cycled through the 10 menu option 4 times, and no luck.

As you know..... The JL does have a Shipping Mode that minimizes parasitic 12v power power draw.

In regard to older JL's.... Shipping Mode was only allowed to be in use ... to be enabled within the first 300 miles if / I remember right. When the dealer gets the JL from the factory, part of PDI is to turn off ship mode. This is done by choreographed dash board button pushes. Ship Mode can be re-enabled or disabled by the vehicle owner but unfortunately, only up to 300 miles on the odometer.

I'm not sure what the exact deal is in regard to ship mode with the 2025's leaving the factory..

Note: it may have been 200 miles not 300

Thank you for the amplifying information and guidance. I'll post to this thread with 100, 200, and 300 mile updates.

Mine claims to go into (and out of) ship mode with 19,000 miles. But short of checking the battery current it may not be doing anything.
