Hello. I just purchased a Kicker 46HS10 from Crutchfield to install into my otherwise factory (non-Alpine) 2024 Wrangler Sport S (4 door). I was under the impression (on Crutchfield's website!) that the purchase would include "detailed model-specific instructions for install" so I figured I'd be able to do it. Apparently I was wrong - they DO NOT include anything. Now, my husband does have some experience with wiring and the like so he might be able to help somewhat but man I really wanted to be able to say that I could accomplish this on my own - and everyone keeps saying how "easy" it is...

Has anyone installed this system into their Jeep and have any tips or tricks that might save me some added issues as I awkwardly blunder my way through this? Anything at this point is helpful. I have surfed the web and looked at YouTube videos but I think all the posters of these assume the person has some clue what to do - which is definitely not the case here.

Thank you for your time.

Crutchfield's customer support isn't able to help get you the instructions?
Ziltch. They didn't help me at all.

At this point though the only answer we really need to know is in regards to RCA converter. Crutchfield advised I buy this RCA adapter with the subwoofer but it has thrown my husband for a loop. Where are the RCA jack outputs located, or if we even need to use this adapter? Perhaps better asked: How do we connect to the line level signal? Do we have to take the whole dash off or...? There is no info online about this either. Can anyone advise? Thanks!

@Rhinebeck01 is usually a wealth of those types of details. Probably not that specific model, but the general concepts.

... so thats a generic Sub model. Are you planning on tapping speaker wires from either the speaker bar or dash speakers to get audio to it? That's not something Crutchfield is going to have instructions for unfortunately.

I haven't worked on a '24 but there should be speaker leads on the passenger B pillar for the speaker bar if needed for generic audio signal. You can run to the battery from under the carpet (removable grommets) and then ground the amp at the passenger footwell by the door on one of the factory ground studs located behind the trim panel on the A pillar. Not a hard install... apologies this probably isn't as easy as you'd hoped for.

Everything is behind the passenger lower door trim and B pillar... I'm guessing you'd need to run the "turn on" lead up to the fuse box/panel in front of the batt in the engine compartment since you're not using a radio interface. There will be switched/key power there to use for the turn on. He can run the 12+ and turn on through one of the rubber grommets in the floorboard. There's one in front of the pass seat and then another one under the seat itself iirc (under the carpet).

Good luck... happy to assist.

I found this video when I was installing mine and it works great. you don't even have to get into the back of your radio.

Hi. Thanks for both your responses. This is a whole other wrench into the situation it appears. :-/ I guess I’ll need to investigate further.
So much for just wanting to add a little bass for a few bucks… :CWL:
