I can reproduce this 100% of the time. I'm leaving a parking lot on a right turn, and have the wheel cranked most of, or all of the way because it's a tight turn.
As I pull out and start accelerating, I crank the wheel back straight.
That combination of accelerating and turning the wheel back results in a shriek/screech noise coming from somewhere in the Jeep. Not tire chirping! Not tire screeching! When I first started hearing this it was more of a high pitched grinding noise.
I've only heard it in that specific scenario. If I sat in my driveway and turned the wheel, even cranked it hard from one side to the other, I wouldn't hear that screechy noise. It seems to be tied to accelerating. It doesn't sound like a belt squeal though..
Any thoughts on what that might be?
