I can reproduce this 100% of the time. I'm leaving a parking lot on a right turn, and have the wheel cranked most of, or all of the way because it's a tight turn.

As I pull out and start accelerating, I crank the wheel back straight.

That combination of accelerating and turning the wheel back results in a shriek/screech noise coming from somewhere in the Jeep. Not tire chirping! Not tire screeching! When I first started hearing this it was more of a high pitched grinding noise.

I've only heard it in that specific scenario. If I sat in my driveway and turned the wheel, even cranked it hard from one side to the other, I wouldn't hear that screechy noise. It seems to be tied to accelerating. It doesn't sound like a belt squeal though..

Any thoughts on what that might be?

Since the sound only occurs when the vehicle is in motion, possibly there's a bearing failure in one of the hub assemblies.

My 18’ JL makes a weird sound while turning. The steering works fine but sounds kinda bad. I was told it’s normal? I’ve had old square bodies with power steering pumps screaming. It’s not that sound. I don’t even think this thing has a ps pump. Is it electric? It does have a 2.0 etorque thing in it.
