My wrangler drives fine on the road, no issues at all. The only thing that’s funky is when I’m backing up and have the wheel turned pretty tight. It feels like the passenger front wheel wobbles, similar to what it feels like if you’re driving over a bump, but it’s on a smooth surface. To clarify I’m in 2wd, factory D30 front, no lockers or suspension/steering modifications.

What should I check?

Did it just start?
When is the last time you retorqued all your suspension components?
Also do you have your stock tires still? I put wider rubi tires on mine and with the solid axles there's a skip when I have the wheel turned hard and I'm going forward or reversing. Granted, it doesn't feel like going over a bump.

I'd definitely double check the torque on all your suspension components though.

I have 20k miles on my Jeep. I’ve never retorqued my suspension and have stock Willys MT tires.

The problem started a few months ago. I didn’t notice it every time, but now more frequently it seems. Or it’s also possible I’m hyper aware of it.
