If this is about counterfeiting US currency, the Secret Service is indeed the agency that handles those matters.

Investigating, gathering evidence, and apprehending suspects involved with counterfeiting US currency is their and solely their responsibility.

In fact, the department within the Secret Service that works to prevent counterfeiting US currency is much much larger than the department for protecting important members of the US government.

thats why i asked what OP meant by counterfeit. The SS is from the treasury department. They deal with counterfeit cash. Ive been hit with it before and dealt with them. There was a big ring they busted down in mexico. This was probably 20 years ago.

if it was just a scammer taking peoples money that would be fbis wheelhouse, although their main purpose is investigating school board dissidents.

no. That would be CBP/ICE (homeland security). Thats what my wife does. Thats the “customs” part of CBP. Amongst many other roles.

Has set up a FAKE website that looks like a real website of a legitimate business. The email address is fake. The Phone Number is FAKE. The address is a real business but is NOT who set up this fake website.

They will take your money (us Jeep folks are way too trusting) and then try to ship via a fake delivery company AND then once it is "shipped" try to get you for more money.

Has been reported to the Secret Service, massive counterfeit operation I stumbled into just trying to get some Jeep parts.

this same individual(s) are on Instagram as well, and i posted about the scam months ago! i tracked down the address and shipping company and it was all a front in the UK and south Africa, i reported them to Instagram and to the FBI, nothing happened ! Be safe
