The wallet magically opens. 23 rubicon XR with 700 miles.

mods already:

spiderweb shade
Rugged ridge tube doors
Rugged ridge cargo drawers
New LED lights all around
Diode dynamics hitch light
Mopar tow package
MP concepts aluminum bumper
Lod destroyer rock sliders
Quadratec dead pedal
Spydertrax spacers
Power commander (loved it on my jk - not needed as much with the 2.0 t but …)
XG cargo magellbags
Top pro hardtop lift (more versatile than my garage winch)
Top pro door cart.
oh and shorty antennae.

time to let my PayPal cool down …. Wait I need a winch. Lol

these really can be expensive toys.

I'm right there with you! My 2023 Rubicon hasn't even crossed 1k miles yet and I've already ordered:

  • Metalcloak GameChanger 3.5" lift w/ Rocksport shocks and new front driveshaft
  • Nitto Ridge Grappler 37" tires
  • Tazer JL Mini + their grill-mounted trail camera
  • Reaper front bumper and bash plate
  • Carnivore rear bumper
  • Rough Country diff skids
  • Mopar hitch & wiring
  • Mopar aux switches
  • Terflex adjustable spare tire mount
  • LoD Signature rock sliders
  • Rubber floormats
  • Hood struts
  • Locking hood latches
And those are just the things I've ordered, there's still a long list of stuff I plan to order in addition to all that!

For wheels and winch, I'm thankfully able to steal those off my WK2 grand cherokee before I sell it, so no need to buy new.

One downside to ordering all this stuff all at once, I've learned, is that heavy boxes are starting to pile up by my front door and it's been a struggle to find the time to actually put all this stuff in. So far I've only put in the floormats, hood struts and locks, and the Tazer. The rest is just sitting in a massive pile giving me dirty looks every time I come home.

I won't bore you with a list of specific parts, but I'm somewhere around $16K in suspension, winch, armor, tires, wheels, and lights on my 2022 392 XR. This is the one I was going to leave stock.

I seem to have more restraint than y’all! Not by a lot, but still.

I don’t feel so bad now...

I had her in the dirt with less than 100 miles on it for the last weekend that the local offroad park was open before winter maintenance. Added on board air then a 2000mi road trip down and back to Key West. Just picked up lower control arm sliders, and rear shock sliders that are being painted right now.

Soon is a CMM mirror for doors off then bumpers and a winch and I think I'm good for the year.

Good for you. I did the cmm. Very nice quality. Great phone holder too. I just put together tube doors too. Just need weather to cooperate up here in NY

Estate planning, administration and litigation. We all need our toys and outlets from work!

Engineer... but the main reason I had a bunch of disposable money to throw at this was because my last car got rear ended/totaled, and the insurance payout was extremely generous. Covered my downpayment on the new Jeep and pretty much all the upgrades I listed. Next year I'll get the $7500 tax credit (for having bought a 4xe PHEV) and then it'll be time for round two of upgrades!

Also it helps that I'm not married, so if I want something I just go buy it ;)

As soon as I placed my order for our Wrangler my wife already knew there would be a lot of aftermarket changes. She just asked I keep it to a few thousand a year or get a good next job, so I got a well paying next job  It helps that she knows I obsessively research each change so I am not wasting too much.

Hopefully both of your XG cargo bag mounts are solid, my passenger side broke.
