Okay, last year when I ordered you could have a RUBI (and add your options, but no color matching top and fenders and no power seats, etc) or you could have RUBI X (with all the usual options - package 24Y (including the 17x8 wheels and 35's)).

I keep seeing posts referring to a 24 Rubi XR (and I am assuming that it is the same thing, people are just using the XR from the eXtreme Recon package from a few years ago.

The reason this comes into play is the factory "lift" on the "X" (24Y pagkae). I love the way this rides and handles, BUT I have bottomed out once or twice off road. I'm guessing I hit the bump stops, which if I understand correctly, are the limiting factor. Therefore, I would think, a simple low budget upgrade, that would mostly keep the factory ride and handling, but provide a little more travel would be:

A) slightly longer shocks - bilstein / RS9000s
B) slightly shorter bump stops
C) 3/4" spacers all around.

does this seem to make sense?

thanks

Additionally to what @Terrymo provided, you are correct that people are just misusing the abbreviated XR term from the eXtreme Recon package that was sunset and replaced with the Xtreme 35” Tire package.

At some point someone in corporate realized they had a Jeep Wrangler eXtreme Recon as well as an upcoming Jeep Recon and realized it would be confusing AF. One had to go.
