Were looking at trying the rubicon trail after ejs 2019. That would put us around April 20ish. Does anyone know if the snow is moved out by then and how the weather would be? Also, are there any local clubs we could meet up with and try to work in a run? Not wanting to go at it solo. Original group we were going to go with pushed their trip back to June. We are trying to save having to drive all the way back when we will be so close in Moab

I'm not sure how close or what the elevation is compared to Tahoe resorts like squaw valley but they're under 37ft of snow since last month.

Yeah i was just there last weekend. Mammoth area. That snows not melting anytime soon. Snow banks around the roads are over 20 feet high.

The trail will likely be open, but going will be tough, There was still snow there in May last year, not sure if it was new or residual from winter. We got a lot more snow this year than last.

Oh wow. That’s some serious snow! I guess we can be cautiously optimistic but might be doing the Grand Canyon thing instead
