Jack, serious question. I noticed what I'll presume to be a toll transponder on your Rubi's front license plate.

I just ordered a new transponder in my locale...but a windshield variety....

Is there something I should know about the necessity of going with a license plate transponder on the JL? (I.E. that a windshield one won't work).... Or were you just partial to/all your area offers is...that license plate transponder type?

If you had a choice did you go with the license plate variety for some reason that might be useful for me/others to know?

Thanks.

There was no other reason than personal preference. I really don't like anything on my windshield up to and including those stupid oil change reminders lol

Did you drive the Sahara?... Any difference that you can tell?
No doubt both are nice. I drove a Sahara and a Rubicon side by side right after one another. The Rubicon was firmer and surprisingly it seemed quieter even with the more aggressive KO2 treads. Both my friend and the sales person noticed it also. I wonder if the Rubicon had the active noise cancellation and acoustic windshield and the Sahara did not?

TBULLS52 thanks for the great pics.

Those are a couple of clean machines! It's fun to see the different colors side-by-side as it's easier to compare versus seeing each in isolation. I hate to say it but I like the silver better (but both are nice), my frustration is my kids forced me to buy the non-silver JLUR as every car I buy is silver. Well at least I'm consistent. I do like the bright colors but I chose white because it hides the dirt best, IMHO.

LUCKY!! I'm only 1; of a handful of JL or future JL owners (Waiting Delivery) in my city of 800k people, no joke. Out of my group of friends I'm only 1 of 3 owners of a Wrangler smh. There is a huge Jeep Wrangler off roading club here, but even they're all JK style or older Wranglers.

My transponder is usually at the bottom of the storage compartment between the two seats and I have never had an issue going through the tolls.

@MikeinMD and I were at a neighborhood New Years eve party when we discovered that he had his on order and I was getting ready to put mine on order (I ended up buying off the lot). There is another guy in our neighborhood that has a black JLU Rubicon. Besides us 3 I have only seen one other JL on the road.
