Haven’t looked this up, it’s supposed to be short, right? any other close trails to run after?
It would be fun to camp with some folks if we can arrange it.

I think we finished around 2PM which was why I decided to do the drive home same day. It spits you out into Red Rock Canyon Park. It's a 1 way loop so if you want to actually see some stuff in the park you have to loop around and pay the entrance fee.

If you are out in that area though it may also be worth driving out to Valley of Fire SP. No wheelin' there that I could find but a really cool area to check out.

We both camped at Red Rock Campground. You need to get reservations though. There is also dispersed camping along the trailhead on Lovell Canyon Road.

I drove up the night before and stayed at the campground and then drove home the next day after the run. Greg drove up day of, stayed at the campground night after. So either way would work. I remember it being a 45 minute drive from the campground to the Rocky Gap Trailhead.
Camp ground was only 15 minutes from the end of the trail or so. Honestly I could have driven home that same night if I had wanted. We got done with the trail party quickly.

Sounds like it's gonna be a fun trip. Wish I could join ya'll!
Sure does.
it’s getting a pretty good group together.
I was going to go but I have a family function that I can’t get out of no matter what.
Unless the Mission Inn in Riverside burns down beforehand. 🤣🤣
I am not making any suggestions, so please, nobody get any ideas. 🤪🤪

Am I putting you on the list?
My brother in Vegas will be tagging along with me. He’s owned a couple JKs, but in January went to the dark side. :bandit: Being blood relations, I can’t completely disown him. 🤷‍♂️
