Rigid 360 4 inch amber cover (install)

Good afternoon all -

So looking through the forums I stumbled across the Rigid 360 4 inch amber covers for a quick fix to go to amber lighting on my 2019 JL Sport. Everything I was reading said that it is a quick pop on and you are finished. Myself being a little new to this Jeep world I didn't realize that I actually have the steel bumper with the Mopar Performance fogs in the bumper. Obviously this isn't a quick install to get these covers on.

Before I get started pulling the fogs does anyone have confirmation that these covers will work on the Mopar Performance fogs? If so, is there a cheat to do the install instead of pulling the entire bumper off?

Maybe I’m misunderstanding what you’re asking but I’m pretty sure the light covers you got are specifically made to snap onto THEIR 4” lights. The factory fog lights in the bumper are like 2.5” ish.

Yep.. Those are the ones for the factory fogs that LIghtguy posted about. I ordered a set but didn't realize that I actually have the Mopar Performance fogs that come with the steel bumper. Trying to figure out if they'll work on those fogs and the steel bumper. (I'm learning more about this Jeep stuff by the day... lol!)

Ok, got these to work on OEM plastic bumper, and yes, once fog light removed, they snap right on. Started on drivers side, took about 20 minutes to figure out what needed removed and what needed just loosening. Some wiggling, a little bending, and a little pushing and pulling, and the plastic cover piece behind the fog light slid right out, exposing the fog light assembly to be unbolted and removed. The passenger side was much easier after I learned my process from drivers side, took less than 10 minutes. I removed 8 plastic push rivets and loosened 1 screw total. The screw needed loosening (or could be removed), in order to push down on that piece of plastic enough, because it has a plastic "finger" on it, that helps keep the piece you want to remove in line. Pushing down helps to disengage the "finger", so the other piece can slide right out. Unplug the light, remove 4 screws holding fog light in, snap cover on, and reassemble everything. Hardest part was wiggling/pushing/pulling the cover to remove, just took time and all of a sudden, it slid right out.

So just to be clear, we have confirmation - in this thread - that these will snap on to both the LED fogs that come with the plastic bumper and the steel bumper? It seems so, but I've been under the belief that these two fogs are slightly different, so wanted to be sure.

Snapped on mine, 2023 LED fogs/plastic bumper. Careful snapping on, don't manhandle the cover, tabs are aren't thin, but too much force snapping on could break one off. I worked it on slowly and then it just snapped on.
