RHD 2.0l T JL?

Does anyone know if there is the option to order a rhd JL with the 2.0lt motor in USA yet?

I don't know how true it is but google suggests jeeps can be ordered in either rhd or lhd configuration in USA because the US postal system uses rhd jeeps?

Reason I ask is that I'm possibly relocating to usa for a few years from Australia and I would be keen to import a fuel efficient JL back to Australia. From all reports, AUS won't get the 2.0l t option and importing a lhd jeep is a no go.

Likely eventually. You can buy a RHD JK right now, but it wasn’t something that (as far as I know) was available right off the bat.

Wouldn't you need to make a few changes to make it road legal? E. g. the turning signals need to be amber, the headlights should be dipped the right way for left hand traffic in Au, etc. ? Also I don't think remote start is legal here. There's also the pedestrian safety/gapless front bumper. Not sure if authorities check when importing or if it's an insurance thing/post mortem thing.

As far as I know Jeep typically offers RHD Wranglers every other year or odd years in limited quantities unless ordered through a dealer. The sole purpose for the RHD in the US is for Rural Postal Carriers that are required to use their own vehicle. As far as the 2.0l t, it's hard to say. Typically overseas markets get different options like diesel that we've been begging for here in the states.
